What is Connect Belong?
Connect Belong is a community for women founders and business owners who want real friendships and support, not just contacts. Founded by coach Tara Dunn in 2022, Connect Belong meets in person in Queen Creek, Gilbert, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley, Arizona, and online through member Zoom calls and a private Skool community. Since 2022, more than 200 women have gathered at over 50 events.
Who is Connect Belong for?
Female founders and women business owners at any stage who want real friendships with women who understand what it takes to build a business. You don't need to be further along or have a polished elevator pitch.
Is Connect Belong a networking group?
Connect Belong is not a traditional networking group. There are no business card swaps, no pitches, and no referral quotas. Women come to have real conversations, get to know each other, and build friendships first, and business growth follows naturally from those relationships. Members often say it feels completely different from any networking event they have attended.
Is there a women's business group near Phoenix or in the East Valley?
Yes. Connect Belong is a community for women business owners in the Phoenix area, with monthly morning Events in Queen Creek / Gilbert in the East Valley and in Scottsdale / Paradise Valley. Women from anywhere in the Valley are welcome, and you can visit as a guest for a $50 drop-in.
Where does Connect Belong meet?
In person in Queen Creek/Gilbert and in Scottsdale/Paradise Valley, Arizona, and online on Zoom. Once you sign up, you receive the event location and details by email.
When does Connect Belong meet?
Connect Belong meets in person from 9 to 11am on the second Wednesday of each month in Scottsdale / Paradise Valley, Arizona, and on the third Wednesday of each month in Queen Creek / Gilbert, Arizona. Members also meet online on Zoom on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 1pm Arizona time. Each event opens with time to mingle over coffee and food, followed by a speaker and conversation.
How much does membership cost?
Connect Belong offers three memberships. Online Only is $80 per month or $900 per year. One Location + Online is $100 per month or $1,100 per year and includes one free friend per quarter. Full Arizona, with both in-person locations plus online, is $140 per month or $1,500 per year and includes quarterly guest passes. Every membership includes the member Zoom calls and the private Skool community.
Can I try Connect Belong once before joining?
Yes. Any woman can attend an in-person Connect Belong event as a guest for a $50 drop-in, with no membership required. It is the easiest way to meet the women, feel the room, and decide if Connect Belong is right for you. You can also book a free call with Tara to ask questions first.
How can I make friends as a woman business owner?
Building a business can feel lonely, and Connect Belong was created so you don't have to build it alone. Every Event starts with time to mingle and real conversation, and members meet every month in person or on Zoom, so you keep seeing the same women and the conversations keep going between Events.
What is included in the online membership?
Two 45-minute Zoom calls each month (a speaker session and a Heart & Strategy Circle with Tara), the private member group, a listing in the Connect Belong Community Guide, and the chance to be featured in a YouTube interview.
What happens at an in-person meetup?
We start by mingling with a few women over a drink or a bite to eat. Then there is a value-packed presentation, where members share first and others are invited to contribute. The whole morning is built around natural, meaningful connection in a welcoming setting.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely! The more, the merrier. Just make sure she signs up for the email list so she receives the event details. In-person memberships also include guest passes each quarter.
Is there an online community for women entrepreneurs I can join from anywhere?
Yes. The Connect Belong Online Membership is open to women entrepreneurs anywhere for $80 a month or $900 a year. It includes two member Zoom calls each month, the private Skool community, and a listing in the Connect Belong Community Guide.
Can I speak or present at a meetup?
Yes. We love featuring our community members, and members can apply to speak.
Is there a directory of member businesses?
Yes. The Connect Belong Community Guide at connectbelong.co/directory lists women-owned businesses run by our members, from bookkeepers and photographers to coaches and wellness providers.
Does Tara offer coaching?
Yes. Tara Dunn offers leadership coaching for founders who have a team, and she works with team members too. You can book a 15-minute intro call at connectbelong.co/coaching.
Can I start a Connect Belong chapter in my area?
